Ben’s oldest son, Sam, started working for his dad when he was 12 years-old. Initially, his job duties included demolition boy, bucket carrier, and materials mover. Sam has since grown into a fine craftsman, and has established his place in the company as a lead carpenter. Sam loves building so much that he crafted a redwood strip canoe in his free time. Besides spending time on the water in his boat, Sam also enjoys rock-climbing, hunting, fishing, and backpacking with his wife, Alicia.
